1. FOOD/SNACKS/ATTIRE:
We provide coffee, tea, and in some cases, snack service throughout the day during our sessions; water will be continuously refreshed. Your are welcome to bring your own beverages, snacks, light food containers and prepared lunches as long as they do no spill or damage any computer equipment or peripherals. Lunch is not provided. It is one (1) hour in length; depending on where the instructor is in terms of teaching material, that could start anywhere from 12:00 to 12:30 (on average).

Feel free to dress comfortably and casually; professional attire is not required of the attendees. However, the conference rooms are subject to temperature changes and tend to get rather cold, so we suggest you bring a sweater or coat.

2. SPECIAL ACCOMODATIONS:
We will, whenever possible, take consideration to those attendees that need special accommodations, whether hearing, visually or physically impaired. We are not able to accommodate students with learning disabilities on-site, but rather off-site instead.

3. PRIVATE or ONE-ON-ONE SESSIONS:
We offer one-on-one sessions as well as private, group sessions on request. If you prefer to explore this option, please feel free to contact our offices directly for a rate quote.

4. COURSE OBJECTIVES:
Our training sessions are conducted in a “lecture style” fashion with structured interaction and integration. All concepts are interrelated so as to give you not only a broad, but specific understanding of the programs features and functionality. Examples and illustrations are presented throughout the session. Hand-on exercises are also performed, but are not the focus of our course. We also encourage the attendee to take notations.

5. COURSE PREREQUISITES/STUDENT PROFILE:
a. Course Prerequisites: Since our classes are highly customized, QBT will evaluate each attendee to see if the proper qualifications are met, whether that be on the basis of experience level or relevant coursework.  Before taking this course, you MUST be familiar with personal computers, specifically notebooks/laptops for these class situations and the use of a keyboard and a mouse (external and built-in). Furthermore, this course assumes that you’ve completed the following courses or have equivalent experience:

Operating System/Platform: Basic Understanding of at least Win OS 2000 and above and/or Mac 8.0 or above
Accounting: Knowledge of basic bookkeeping principles and terminology

b. Target Student: The “best” target student is one that wants to learn and implements those concepts following the instruction. Based on statistical analysis, it is said that for every one (1) hour of classroom instruction, there should be at least three (3) hours of dedicated “hands-on” practice. Without that, the retention level will be minimal. Ideally then, this course would be best suited if you want to use QuickBooks to track the financial activity of a business.

6. HOURS OF OPERATION/HOURS OF TRAINING SESSION:
Depending on the course level selection, the duration of most of our classes vary between 4-6 hours in length, with an 8am or 9am start time. The longer sessions will also have small, 5-10 minute breaks. Our office hours are open between 7am to 7pm, west coast time. We have offices located in Northern and Southern California.

7. DISCOUNTS:
We offer “early bird”, student, and senior discounts upon request; verification needed.

8. CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY:
Depending on the course level taken, whether one-on-one, a private group session or live training, our refund policy varies. However, all requests must be done 5-full business days prior the session, both in writing and over the phone, otherwise registration fees will be forfeited in total.

9. COMPUTER SOFTWARE/EQUIPMENT/ACCESSORIES:
We will provide this on an as-needed basis for a $25/day rental fee. Our courses are delivered in a lecture style fashion, but will accommodate to hands-on exercises as part of the learning process. Otherwise, it is highly suggested that you bring your own computer/accessories, and make sure you have at least QuickBooks Pro/Premier installed on it. We do not provide copies of the software.
